OBADIA is a young Parisian ready-to-wear brand whose inspirations take their essence from a velvet-clad boudoir.

The designer, Marie Obadia, reinterprets the rules of classical culture and the performing arts in a dark, captivating universe. It was in the red room of her childhood, fascinated by mysticism, symbolism and the forbidden, that she imagined the fantasies of a world where creatures emerge from the shadows. 

Her attraction to film noir gives life to sensual anti-heroes, imbued with madness reflecting the duality of the human being. Historical references, omnipresent in the brand’s creative signature, bring to life the forgotten characters of the past.

Faced with the standardization and simplification of today's clothing, OBADIA offers a theatrical alternative to ready-to-wear. It uses classic cuts, corsetry and lingerie in the service of today's wardrobe.
